2017 Fall Finds: Pier 1 Imports

Pier 1 Imports is the source for more fancy, classic decor, especially Thanksgiving tableware. They were one of the first stores to get their fall/Halloween stock out, which I appreciate quite a bit (I'm looking at you, Target *taps foot*).

Let's dig in!

Pier 1 is well-known for their festive tableware, and it's always the first thing that greets me when I walk through the door. This year, they've up the ante with lots of plaid, pumpkins and cute woodland critters.

They also have a collection of autumn doggies drinking PSL like the basic b--I mean canines they are (I can relate). I'm definitely more of a city girl, so seeing the beautiful orange leaves in an urban setting makes my heart happy.

But if you're more of a cat person, fear not: Pier 1 has got your back. Look at this. LOOK AT THIS. Have you ever seen such a cute kitty in your entire life? She's wearing orange glasses, for cat's sake. I just can't.

They've also got a bunch of other pillows, but it's hard to care once you've seen that kitty-in-a-pumpkin masterpiece. Just kidding, I always care about all the pillows. Just not equally. Here's some more anyway:

But if you're more of a woodland animal type of person, take a look at this new collection:

As a Canadian expat, I have to say, that moose makes me feel right at home. The fox would also be the perfect mascot for Fox & Spice, right? Pier 1 definitely has the highest quality in terms of straw woodland critters, so if you're into that, check them out. They've got all animals you could ever dream of: pigs, goats, bunnies, birds, squirrels, hedgehogs, and more.

And they have deer, elks, and antlers. This one is so majestic and beautifully understated. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate this staging? Gorgeous!

I fell in love with this cookie jar, another perfect mascot for my website. I didn't buy it yet, but I'll be checking the sales section at the end of the season for this. I love the distressed/well-used look.

They've also got a good collection of cool mugs! I love that impressionist fall-colored one. Here's a close-up:

And if you're looking for pumpkins, let me tell you: you won't be disappointed. They have pumpkins for days, of all shapes, sizes, materials, and styles. Here are just a few of the stuff they have on display:

Lots of fancy glass pumpkins! They look much cooler in person, too.
That salt & pepper shaker is the best.

They have a bunch of wooden platters in the shape of pumpkins, perfect to serve up cheeses and snacks on Thanksgiving, or even to display potpourri.

Finally, if you love fall-scented candles, try their new scents. I usually don't like their candles that much, but I LOVED these four. I think they might be new this season.

These jars are adorable, but pretty small. They also have pillars, oil, tea lights, room sprays, 3-wick and even 4-wick formats in these scents.

Here are the scent descriptions:

Pumpkin Spice

Savor the delectable scent of a fragrance inspired by homemade holidays. Crushed vanilla beans blend beautifully with cinnamon-spiced pumpkin puree and pure nutmeg. Sweetened by raw brown sugar and warmed with clove, this aroma is simply yummy.

Pumpkin Woods

Celebrate the bountiful harvest at our table where a tasty blend of pumpkin, apple and melon is richly spiced with nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon and rests comfortably on a familiar yet exotic fusion of vanilla and patchouli.

Pumpkin Cider Apple
Head out into the fall woods to enjoy the crunch of leaves and acorns while taking in the crisp air filled with the scent of cedar, sandalwood, chestnut and walnut trees. Amble back toward the house, and notice the aroma of pumpkin enriched with vanilla, nutmeg and cassia wafting from your warm home.

Sweet Caramel Pumpkin
A warm confection of delicious familiarity: The essence of pumpkin, orange and peach stirred into a mixture of creamy milk, sweet caramel and rich vanilla is enriched with almond and coconut, then finished with sprinkles of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and tamarind.

My favorite was the Pumpkin Spice. It's a nice, slightly sweet, slightly spicy scent that isn't overpowering. It reminds me of a creamy chai tea.

There were a whole lot more decor at Pier 1, including fun, whimsical Halloween stuff. I'll be showing you guys the Halloween decor in a different post in October, otherwise you'll be here reading this until November 1st.
